10 Best Charlie Sheen Films

Charlie Sheen hasn't always been fodder for the gossip rags. Once upon a time ago he was an actual movie Star. Here ten of his best films

1. Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986): A scene stealing cameo part in one of the best films of the 1980's.

2. Platoon (1986): Charlie proves he can act in this best picture Oscar winner. Also an early film appearance by Johnny Depp.

3. Wall Street (1987): Tom Cruise wanted to play Bud Fox in this movie, instead the part went to Charlie Sheen and the rest is history.

4. Being John Malkovich (1999): A scene stealing bit part, but one where he plays a parody of himself. This begins a new era in his career that eventually leads to playing Charlie Harper in the hit TV series "Two And A Half Men".

5. Eight Men Out (1988) An ensemble cast that also features John Cusack, David Strathairn and D.B. Sweeney.

6. Lucas (1986) A sweet teen movie that also starred Cory Haim. Sheen and Haim in a film together? Must have been a good year for the Colombian economy.

7. Major League (1989): Plays Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn, the most dysfunctional member of a dysfunctional baseball team.

8. Red Dawn (1984): His feature film debut

9 Hot Shots! (1991): Proves that he can do comedy, something that will come in handy later in his career.

10. The Big Bounce (2004): More comedy, this time acting opposite Owen Wilson.
